Apply for a Student Transfer for the 2020-2021 School Year
Students entering K-12 for the 2020-21 school year who wish to transfer to another Catawba County School or from a school outside of the Catawba County Schools district into a Catawba County School need to complete this online application beginning June 1st, 2020 at 8:00 AM.
Please note: Students who are currently on a transfer and are in a transition year (rising 7th or rising 9th grader), you must re-apply for a transfer to your next school. For example, if a student is on a transfer to Tuttle Elementary and is ending 6th grade and wants to go to Maiden Middle instead of his assigned middle school, he has to apply again for a transfer.
Transfers will be accepted through an application process that is strictly first-come, first-served, based on availability at each school. To be eligible, families must complete this online application form that is automatically time-stamped.
What is required? Parents of students entering grades 1 - 12 will be required to provide 2019-2020 grades, attendance history, and discipline records within one week of submitting their application. You can submit the information via email or in-person at the CCS Center for Administrative Services.
Tuition for students who live outside Catawba County who is approved? The tuition amount for the 2020-2021 school year is $1,741. Tuition is required each year, per student, and due 14 days prior to the first day of school. It is FREE for students who live in Catawba County.
If your transfer is approved, you will receive an approval letter that will have instructions on what to do next, including instructions about how to submit payment for out-of-district students.
